The group meets on the first Tuesday of the month. On offer is a course which is unashamedly focussed on the grammar and structure of the French language but which will possibly also look at short stories. Ideally those interested should have some knowledge already, up to about O level or GCSE standard. The idea will be to minimize the problems of learning and show that things are not really as complicated as they seem! Andrew will look at the verb system, breaking it down to its basics and then look at various verb structures, moving on to pronouns and most of the other areas of the grammar, all the while relating what is covered to what happens in English, in order to make the connections easier. All the way through, the emphasis is on understanding and explanation, not simply learning!
